An artificial intelligence powered by one of Dr Will Magnus's seven responsometers, Chemo was composed of highly volatile and dangerous chemicals. They were born when an unknown thief dropped their stolen responseometer into a vat of chemicals and ordered them to assassinate Magnus.
Their rampage was stopped by the Metal Men at great personal cost: the six Metal Men sacrificed their physical forms to render the chemicals in their body inert.
