The Pigeon - Nightwing

A costumed super-criminal from Gotham City during Dick Grayson's time as Robin, The Pigeon is an "art terrorist" who stole and defaced artwork to highlight the darker history of colonialism and bloodshed behind some of Gotham's most well-known and celebrated pieces.

She is the mentor of Shawn Tsang, aka the Defacer, taking her on as her young apprentice.

Both The Pigeon and Defacer were arrested by Batman, Robin, and Lt. Gordon.

Stallion - Nightwing

The alter ego of Randy Hanrahan, Stallion, was a former enforcer and bouncer for the Penguin.

Most of his victims were men, as he used violence to cope with his deep-seated desire for love, connection, and acceptance. His sexuality was something he had been made to feel ashamed of throughout his life, both in organised crime and as a professional football player.

After a confrontation with the first Robin, he was defeated, arrested, and sentenced to four years in Blackgate. Upon his release, he moved to Blüdhaven, determined to make a fresh start and become a better person.

Randy Hanrahan - Nightwing

A former pro football player, Randy Hanrahan, was frequently bullied and belittled for being gay growing up. In response, he repressed his feelings and tried to be the perfect son.

He eventually fell in with the Penguin’s gang, taking the alias Stallion, and served as Cobblepot’s enforcer and bouncer at the Iceberg Lounge, until a fight with Robin I landed him in Blackgate Prison.

After serving his four-year sentence, Randy left the criminal life behind and moved to Blüdhaven. There, he joined the Run-Offs—a weekly support group for former super-criminals. With their support, along with regular therapy, he began confronting his internalised homophobia and accepting that he is gay and deserving of a loving, fulfilling relationship. He is also working to control his temper.

He is currently working as a barman at the Blazin' Saddle. 

Alexander Staunton - Nightwing

Formerly a child performer at Haly’s Circus, Alexander Staunton was groomed to become a Talon for the Court of Owls as part of the secret partnership between the two.

Henry Ballard - Nightwing

Formerly a child performer at Haly’s Circus, Henry Ballard was groomed to become a Talon for the Court of Owls as part of the secret partnership between the two.

Benjamin Haldman - Nightwing

Formerly a child performer at Haly’s Circus, Benjamin Haldman was groomed to become a Talon for the Court of Owls as part of the secret partnership between the two.

"Grayson" - Nightwing

The son of Amelia Crowne and William Cobb, his true parentage was concealed by Burton Crowne, who forcibly ended the couple’s relationship due to class prejudice against Cobb and arranged for Amelia to marry her second cousin.

Originally raised as a Crowne, the boy was later kidnapped by Cobb during his first year as a Talon for the Court of Owls. In gratitude for the Court’s patronage, Cobb pledged his bloodline to them. The child was given to Cobb’s friend Nathaniel and raised in Haly’s Circus, where he was groomed to follow in his father’s footsteps.

To honour his descent from Gotham’s Gray Sons, he was given the surname Grayson. 

Nathaniel - Nightwing

A friend of William Cobb, Nathaniel was a member of the Court of Owls. Recognising Cobb’s potential, he offered him a chance to prove himself as a Talon.

After Cobb kidnapped his infant son, Nathaniel took the child and, on Cobb's behalf, arranged for him to be raised by Haly’s Circus, declaring him the first of Gotham’s Gray Sons—a chosen bloodline destined to rule the city among the elite who had once betrayed him.
