Sye: "Who's looking forward to later?"
Derick: "YES!"
Fatima: "Very much me."
Asia: "Aye."
JoJo: "Meh, not really."
Sye: "What?"
Fatima: "How'e man? Why not?"
Jojo: "Where to begin? It's always hot, it's loud, and there are too many people. Hard pass."
Sye: "That's part of the thrill."
JoJo: "I don't care. That's not my idea of a good time. I can be proud and celebrate my identity and my right for freedom without risking a splitting headache and sunstroke."
Asia: "This year's march is a protest."
JoJo: "It's always a protest. And I will exercise my right to do that by expressing my pride and hosting a gathering of friends and neighbours at my place for film, food and fun. Which you are all invited to."
Derick: "That does sound quite nice, like."
Fatima: "What films?"
JoJo: "Milk and Pride."
Fatima: "Stellar choices. Expect nothing less."
JoJo: "Thanks. It was either that or The Matthew Shepard Story, Prayers for Bobby, and Boys Don't Cry, but we thought to keep it relatively light."
Grant: "Milk?"
JoJo: "As in Harvey Milk."
Harris: "Who?"
Grant: "Is that the drag queen from RuPaul's Drag Race season 6? You know, the one who went against Trinity K. Bonet in that lip sync of Whatta Man?
Harris: That was such a good lip sync.
Grant: Iconic.
JoJo: "... ... ... Seriously?"
Grant: "What?"
JoJo: "No. Just... just... no."
Grant: "Have I said something wrong?"
Derick: "No, babes... So, Harvey Milk is a huge deal."
Sye: "An activist. A politician."
JoJo: "First openly gay politician to be elected in to California public office."
Derick: "Yeah. Think like Tom Daley or Elliot Page or Yasmin Finney..."
Sye: "Ally Beardsley."
Harris: "Yasmin Benoit?"
Asia: "Exactly!"
Grant: "No way?!"
JoJo: "And he's in the news because wankface wants to remove his name from the USNS Harvey Milk. Erasing iconic queer activists. That's why we chose this film."
Harris: "No way. He sounds so dope."
JoJo: "Yeah. And we chose Pride because, as well as being a classic, it tells the story of LGSM, Mark Ashton, Sian James and Jonathan Blake."
Grant: "That name I recognise. He wrote the play Beautiful Thing."
JoJo: "Harvey."
Grant: "What about him?"
JoJo: "Jonathan Harvey wrote Beautiful Thing."
Grant: "Who's Jonathan Blake then?"
JoJo: "The second person to ever be diagnosed with AIDS in Britain. Or at least in London. Don't quite remember which."
Grant: "... Oh..."
Derick: "And is still alive. At least, last time I checked..."
JoJo: "He's still alive. And still fighting the good fight for our rights."
Fatima: "Proper hero."
Grant: "Oh... ... ..."
JoJo: "Listen, tell you what, why don't you come round after the march and join us for film night? And we can all engage in the age-old tradition of sharing queer history together as a community."
Grant: "Yeah? That would be nice."
Derick: "And we can also watch that lip sync between Beyoncé and Harvey Milk."
Grant: "Prick."
Derick: "Love you too."
