Sean Riley - Batman: Arkham Shadow

The head of Gotham’s Irish mob, Sean Riley, owns Riley’s Old Irish Pub, which he built himself in the Bowery and now uses as the base of his criminal operations.

He is the father of Peyton Riley, who would later become the Ventriloquist II.

During the Fourth of July Rats’ Riots, Sean stayed behind to defend the pub while his wife and children went to stay with his cousin until the Day of Wrath had passed.

Julian Gregory Day - Batman: Arkham Shadow

The civilian identity of the Calendar Man, Julian Gregory Day, was sent to Blackgate Prison following his capture by Batman.

Initially declared criminally insane and unfit to stand trial by Dr Harleen Quinzel, Warden Martin Joseph coerced the young intern into reversing her evaluation so Day could be convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to death. Quinzel agreed in exchange for a permanent position.

After Enigma exposed evidence of Joseph’s corruption, Day was retried and officially found criminally insane. He was transferred from Blackgate to the Potomac Psychiatric Hospital for rehabilitation, though the facility was ill-equipped to manage him.

On July 4th, Day rigged a microwave to explode, killing two people in what staff later described as a “grim parody of an Independence Day fireworks display.”

He escaped in the chaos, prompting widespread panic within the GCPD, who classified him as highly dangerous and in need of a specialised facility capable of handling his complex psychological condition.

Calendar Man - Batman: Arkham Shadow

Julian Gregory Day, aka Calendar Man, is a convicted serial killer responsible for more than a dozen murders. Obsessed with dates and calendars, he committed his crimes on major global holidays.

After his capture by Batman, Day was sent to Blackgate Prison. Despite being declared criminally insane, corruption within the judicial system led to his sentencing to death.

During the first Christmas Eve riot at Blackgate, he escaped and murdered Judge Fremont Harkness—the “hanging judge” who had condemned him—as an act of revenge.

Recaptured by police, and with evidence revealing falsified psychiatric evaluations by Blackgate staff, Day was retried and officially declared insane. He was transferred to the Potomac Psychiatric Hospital for rehabilitation.

On July 4th, Calendar Man escaped again, killing two people in the process. He is considered extremely dangerous.
