Historia Strigidae - Gotham Knights

Penned by Erastus Clark, the Historia Strigidae was intended as a gift to the Voice of the Court, detailing the origins and purpose of the Court of Owls. Believing the Court and the Council had lost their way, Clark hoped the book would help set them back on course.

However, in writing it, he violated the Court’s first rule: “Not a whispered word is said.” In doing so, he condemned himself and his family to death.

After completing the only manuscript, Clark entrusted it to a friend with instructions to publish it if anything happened to him. Before that could occur, both men were killed, and the book was lost.

Years later, one of Clark’s descendants recovered the manuscript, tore out its pages, and scattered them across Gotham.

In 2022, these pages were rediscovered by the Gotham Knight, who used the compiled research in their fight against the Court.
